WHO IS Sam SAMPLE

SAM is a 27 year old based out of NYC. She WAS BORN AND RAISED in GEORGIA, with her family roots hailing from Louisiana. Born Lindsey Sample and nicknamed “SAM” in her late teens (via her last name… yes that is her real last name!), the nickname stuck when she made her move north to new york in 2016.

While music was always a part of her life, IT TOOK A BACK BURNER IN HER POSTGRAD YEARS WHILE SAM BUILT A LIFE FOR HERSELF IN NYC in corporate tech. IN 2023, SAM DECIDED IF THERE WAS EVER A TIME TO CHASE HER BIG DREAMS, IT WAS NOW.

Sam sang throughout her life in various shows, groups, and jazz bands and had been writing songs privately for over 10 years. in 2023, SHE HAD SAVED UP ENOUGH FROM HER CORPORATE JOB TO BEGIN RECORDING HER DEBUT ALBUM, “I’M MOVING TO THE MOON.” She recorded much of the album in her apartment, co-producing with various student and independent producers, and several songs with notable producer Ryan Hadlock (known for his work with The Lumineers, Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlile, Vance Joy) across the country at Bear Creek Studio.

Since release, the album has had exciting reception across streaming platforms (150k+ streams on spotify) and live shows (several sold out headline shows in nyc). Nothing makes Sam happier than taking the painful moments and turning them into something positive, collective experiences, through music. she explores the space between country-folk with americana influences and rock–– a new genre she has coined as Ameri-rock.
